Kristi & Joe's Wedding in Boothbay Harbor

I always enjoy recording weddings in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Two of my favorite locations are ceremonies at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Chapel, which faces the harbor and the Newagen Seaside Inn for receptions.   Mother-nature shined a beautiful day disregarding the forecast of clouds and possible rain.  I've recorded dozens of weddings with photographer Gini Haines and it always a pleasure working with her and husband Doug. They always place everyone at ease and I can always count on their professionalism.  I've worked and know both of them well enough to consider them good friends.
A successful reception is not complete without a master of ceremonies and the Bob Charest Band always does a fantastic job to satisfy.  Everyone was enjoying the beautiful weather and the waterfront views at the at the Newagen Seaside Inn until Bob and his gang was able to pull them inside the tent and onto the dance floor. Before we knew it we had gone a half hour over our production time. The dance floor was full to capacity and the band was rockin!  It was just too much fun to ignore.
This was a well orchestrated wedding.  I really love working with all these vendors as it's always a pleasure working with folks I am familiar with. Professionals who at heart want to make every wedding a success.  I look forward to working with them again.   Below is a list of their web sites....
Almost forgot about Sally, the wedding coordinator of Maine Weddings.  She's always so quiet working behind the scene making sure everything detail is in place.   Only to quickly appear and disappear once everything is set perfectly.
Thank you Kristi and Joe for giving Via-Vision the opportunity to capture your beautiful day. Enjoy the highlight video.

SMASHED Video screening

The Lewiston Youth Advisory Council hired VIA VISION Film & Video Productions to assist in recording an underage drinking awareness film entitled SMASHED that premiered at the Auburn Flagship Cinema on October 29, 2007. It is part of their U Booze U Looze peer-to-peer campaign. SMASHED is being shown once again--followed by a discussion with members of the youth council about the making of the film--FREE OF CHARGE on Wednesday, March 12th, at 7 p.m. in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon Street, Lewiston, Maine.

SMASHED was filmed as part of the youth council's U BOOZE U LOOZE peer-to-peer underage drinking awareness campaign and was professionally filmed due to a grant from the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety.

The film was also recently approved by the Maine Driver Education Program to be included as part of the Drivers Education curriculum.

We thank the Youth Council and the City of Lewiston for giving us the opportunity to become a part of SMASHED.  A film which will definitely save lives.   We also congratulate Ashley Morgan, the co-director, on receiving the Maine Teens Who Care award.

VIA VISION is currently constructing a web site at www.SmashedVideo.com which should be launching soon.  In the meantime enjoy the quick excerpt of SMASHED.

Sincerely, --Francis Gagnon
