SMASHED Video screening

The Lewiston Youth Advisory Council hired VIA VISION Film & Video Productions to assist in recording an underage drinking awareness film entitled SMASHED that premiered at the Auburn Flagship Cinema on October 29, 2007. It is part of their U Booze U Looze peer-to-peer campaign. SMASHED is being shown once again--followed by a discussion with members of the youth council about the making of the film--FREE OF CHARGE on Wednesday, March 12th, at 7 p.m. in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon Street, Lewiston, Maine.

SMASHED was filmed as part of the youth council's U BOOZE U LOOZE peer-to-peer underage drinking awareness campaign and was professionally filmed due to a grant from the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety.

The film was also recently approved by the Maine Driver Education Program to be included as part of the Drivers Education curriculum.

We thank the Youth Council and the City of Lewiston for giving us the opportunity to become a part of SMASHED.  A film which will definitely save lives.   We also congratulate Ashley Morgan, the co-director, on receiving the Maine Teens Who Care award.

VIA VISION is currently constructing a web site at www.SmashedVideo.com which should be launching soon.  In the meantime enjoy the quick excerpt of SMASHED.

Sincerely, --Francis Gagnon
